    • Overview

This module will explore the CMS requirements for Medicare Part D programs to offer MTM services. These services will be defined to provide the learner with an understanding of the components of each type of MTM services. CMS also provides guidance on how MTM services may be delivered and to whom. Since many patients may reside in a Long-Term Care Facility, or have an authorized caregiver in their home, it is important to identify who may be present during a medication review or who may complete the review on behalf of the patient. Furthermore, a brief introduction to the Core Elements of MTM service will be provided to allow the learner to explore the steps of the MTM service and learn which components of the MTM service may be completed by a Pharmacy Technician. The Core Elements will be broken down further in the next module.
