    • Overview

As a community pharmacist, I know I spend a great amount of time helping patients in the cough and cold section. Unlike the analgesics, there are a lot of different chemical entities, as well as different mechanisms of action that need our expertise. The television and internet are full of ads, which can be confusing to our patients. The latest addition to our allergy arsenal, the nasal corticosteroids, require the most pharmacist-patient consultation. With our store's large Type-2 diabetic and hypertensive population, I encourage out patients to use my expertise in selection of cough, cold, and allergy products.
