    • Overview

In a podcast style discussion, Michael Corvino, PharmD and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine dyslipidemia within the context of the latest treatment guidelines.  According to the CDC, only roughly half of adults who could benefit from cholesterol medication are currently taking it.  Pharmacists, then, are well positioned to advocate for proper screenings and coordinate proper management of dyslipidemia.   It is important that pharmacists understand the updated guidelines and the role that various agents play in the management of dyslipidemia.  This session seeks to explore the newest guidelines, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily pharmacy practice.
