    • Overview

As pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, implicit bias can influence our route traveled for implementing patient care. The impact of bias can occur by failures to communicate with the patients we serve and contribute to barriers to healthcare access, delivery, and services. This module will introduce and define the concepts of implicit bias and cultural competency related to health care. This program will summarize studies that provide pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with strategies to address implicit bias to reduce healthcare disparities and increase awareness of cultural considerations.
