Dr. Stefan Weekes is a Senior Poison Specialist at Florida Poison Information Center Tampa and is a Pharmacy Content Editor for Knowfully Learning Group. As a poison specialist, he delineates toxicology guidelines to practitioners to provide clinical recommendations and exercises sound judgment when assessing exposures. Furthermore, as a pharmacy content editor, he identifies areas for refinement within healthcare-related continuing education modules.
In 2007 as a Broadcast Journalist, Dr. Weekes was recognized with the Florida Associated Press Broadcasters Award for reporting on the daily challenges of the homeless population in Tallahassee, FL. Upon graduation from Taneja College of Pharmacy in May 2021, he earned the Taneja College of Pharmacy Dean’s Award for displaying innovation, leadership, and excellence throughout his academic career.
Dr. Weekes is a father of three energetic children and supports his wife in her entrepreneurial endeavors. He is a driven individual that aims to give back to the healthcare community through his work as a first-responder and educator. He navigates his busy schedule but still has time to be a devoted father and gives back to his colleagues through the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
