  Overview

  This module will provide the pharmacist with the basic pathophysiology and clinical implications in which long-acting antipsychotics (LAI) may be prescribed, prepared, and administered for use in individuals diagnosed with mental health conditions.  The necessary clinical information, including administration schedule, adverse effects, contraindications, drug interactions, monitoring parameters and counseling points, will be provided for the pharmacist to prescribe and administer an appropriate LAI regimen safely and effectively.
