• Integrative Pharmacy Specialsit Badge

Pharmacists sit in the perfect position to enhance their knowledge and practice of complementary medicine. Integrative pharmacy seeks to recognize the value of a holistic and systematic approach to health and wellness. In our IPS Level I program, The Lifestyle Module, a groundwork for Functional Pharmacy and Lifestyle medicine was established, outlining how pharmacists can best implement positive practices for both themselves and their patients.

In this Level II program, the focus turns to Core Metabolism. This comprehensive series recognizes a "systems approach" to healing, recognizing that major organ and glandular systems influence each other in both the states of disease and wellness.

    Program Description
This series is designed to be a natural progression of the Integrative Pharmacy Specialist, Level 1 series. Elements of core metabolism, including organ and glandular interactions, digestive health, adrenal health, thyroid health, insulin resistance, and sex hormones are explored in detail. Students will also begin to understand options for assessment, testing, and how to apply the principles in their practice. A targeted and broad approach is used in uniting the understanding of these critical systems, to aid in pharmacy practice and produce positive outcomes for the patient.
