    • Overview

Marijuana's place in health care has, in recent years, undergone substantial review and evaluation. Changes in state law have, at least until recently, remained in conflict with federal law. This course will review the place of marijuana and CBD in the overall health care environment. This will include a review of the history of the federal government's attitude and law on drugs used not only for medicinal but also recreational use: alcohol as well as marijuana.  At the same time, we will discuss the earlier conflicts between state and federal law, reviewing some of the major legal cases, concluding with how this has been resolved.
