    • Overview

      This module will provide the pharmacist with information on appropriate injection techniques and will demonstrate administration of various injection administrations, including intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (SC) injections. This program will also provide information on patient specific factors, including contraindications and other clinical considerations that may impact the preparation and administration of long-acting injections.

      List the 5 Rights of Medication Administration
      Recognize proper administration techniques for both IM and SC injections
      Identify the information that the pharmacist should collect and assess prior to injection: (i.e., allergies, anticoagulation status, reasons for IM avoidance, etc.)
