    • Overview

Nearly half of all pregnancies in the United States are unintentional.  Of those unplanned pregnancies, up to 95% occur in women who do not use contraception or who use it improperly.  Improving access to contraceptive options has quickly become a topic that has gained traction nationally.  Many states have adopted regulations that permit pharmacists to dispense oral contraceptives under various provisions.  This presents a unique opportunity for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to positively influence patient adherence to these regimens.  This panel discussion seeks to prepare the pharmacist and pharmacy technician for conversations with patients surrounding women’s health.   This unique panel discussion hosts multiple contraceptive specialists.  As with all ‘Beyond the Classroom’ discussions, participants will be able to interact directly with the panelists in real time.
