    • Overview

      Recognizing and reporting child abuse or neglect is an important topic for all health care professionals, including pharmacists. In this home study, Pennsylvania pharmacists will learn the intricacies surrounding ways they can identify child abuse or maltreatment and what next steps they should take should they suspect child abuse. Reporting mechanisms as well as the role of Pennsylvania’s protective services will be discussed. Additionally, detailed information on risk factors and consequences of child abuse will be presented to highlight the importance of recognition.

       

      This program is specifically created and accredited to fulfill the PA Pharmacist requirement for CE on recognizing and reporting child abuse.
