    Notice of license renewal will be mailed six weeks prior to expiration. California pharmacists are required to renew within 60 days of the expiration date.

    All continuing education must be ACPE or PFC approved.

    One (1.0) hour of ongoing continuing education is required for immunizations.

    Those who participate in NRT product protocol must complete ongoing continuing education focused on smoking cessation therapy once every two years.

    Two (2.0) of the required thirty (30.0) hours of required continuing education must be completed on the topic of law and ethics. This program is offered via video by the California Board of Pharmacy.

    No carryover credit is allowed.

    California Pharmacy Technicians are to meet Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) requirements.
