  Overview

  In a podcast style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine the management of various substance use disorders. Substance abuse and misuse remains a common issue for many patients. With changes in the classification of some substances in the U.S., guidance for addressing their misuse has been updated. Pharmacists and nurses regularly encounter patients who are abusing or misusing a substance. It is important that pharmacists and nurses understand what treatment options are available and how to connect patients with the appropriate resources. This session seeks to explore these topics, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily medical practice.
