    • Overview

      In Module 5 – Sick Day and Hypoglycemia Management, highlights of sick day management and hypoglycemia management will be discussed. Pharmacist and pharmacy technicians will learn to consult with patients on how to prepare a sick day kit and how to adjust their medication therapy in times of sickness. Through case-based learning, risk factors and barriers for hypoglycemia management will be discussed and methods to overcome barriers will be shared. Furthermore, highlights and special features of new glucagon therapies will be examined in order to allow pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to consult with patients and caregivers on strategies to prevent severe consequences of hypoglycemia.
