  Demodex mites are tiny, parasitic arthropods that live near the hair follicles of humans. Although demodex mites are a natural part of the human skin flora, they are transmitted through direct human contact and their overpopulation can lead to dermatological problems. Understanding and managing demodex mites is crucial for people with chronic skin conditions.
