    • Overview

According to the American Board of Wound Management, June is wound healing awareness month. With warmer weather in full swing, there is typically an increase in minor cuts and scrapes during the summer months. Patients can become overwhelmed with the variety of over-the-counter products for wound care. With the accessibility of pharmacies, there is a role for pharmacy technicians in the wound care process. This session seeks to provide strategies that pharmacy technicians can utilize when assisting a patient who wants to self-treat minor wounds.
