    • Overview

In a podcast style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine the management of opioid use disorder and its effect on the population.  According to the CDC, drug overdose deaths in America have Quadrupled since 1999.  Pharmacists and nurses frequently encounter patients who are at risk or being treated for opioid use disorder. It is important that pharmacists and nurses understand the appropriate use of treatment options for this disorder and how to identify patients at risk.  This session seeks to explore these topics, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily medical practice.
