  Overview

  The various types of hormonal contraceptives products will be discussed along with the considerations and contraindications with combined hormonal contraceptive use. Various patient cases will be used as instructive examples to apply the clinical knowledge gained. Upon completion of this module the pharmacist will be able to determine what hormonal contraceptive method is appropriate based on patient specific factors including age, smoking status, family history, desire to return to fertility, adherence issues and concomitant disease states.
