    • Overview

In a podcast style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine the treatment of general anxiety disorder (GAD). GAD is often comorbid with major depression, and the treatment choices are targeted more towards major depression than GAD. But GAD can stand alone or be comorbid with other conditions and the data we have in these patients differs from major depression. Pharmacists and nurses regularly encounter patients who have GAD. It is important that pharmacists and nurses understand the appropriate use of medications used in GAD and know how to identify patients who could benefit from them. This session seeks to explore these topics, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily medical practice.
