    • Overview

Approximately 5% of the general world population has hypothyroidism with another 5% estimated of those that are undiagnosed. Typically, patients will have a lifelong commitment to any of the thyroid conditions. For many patients with hypothyroidism, levothyroxine is the key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and adequate control. A big debate with levothyroxine in today’s society is if branded products are better than the generics or other brand names. This session will provide an in-depth look for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians into levothyroxine and explore data comparing formulations.
