    • Overview

In a podcast style discussion, Michael Corvino, PharmD and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine hypertension management, walking through the different therapeutic options and how to choose between them. They evaluate the literature behind those choices, and identify common myths around some frequently used medications. Pharmacists and nurses are well-positioned to advocate for proper screening of hypertension. Pharmacists have the knowledge and skill to appropriately manage this disease. It is important that both professions understand the most current treatment recommendations and the role that various agents play in the management of hypertension.  This session discusses the highest quality management of this condition, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily pharmacy and nursing practice.
