    • Overview

In a podcast style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine different topics relating to medication safety. They review drugs to be on the lookout for that commonly have interactions or have special considerations in pregnancy and lactation as well as geriatric and pediatric populations.  Many of these concerns are easy to overlook, but are vital to patient safety. Pharmacists and nurses regularly encounter patients that fit into these categories and are using high risk medications. It is important that pharmacists and nurses understand how to identify these medications and choose appropriate alternatives. This session seeks to explore these topics, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily medical practice.
