    • Overview

A little over 100 years ago Casimir Funk elucidated the need for “vital amines” that were isolated from the foods we eat. Vitamin supplementation in America for the most part, like most everything in America, is done to excess! Many prescription products are known to cause vitamin depletion, hence the need for supplementation. Many of our patients have questions for the pharmacist, and the pharmacist’s expertise might be the only reliable source of information to that patient. Pharmacists are the “drug experts” about over-the-counter medications. Our expertise in the vitamin section of our pharmacies is of upmost importance.
