      The intersection of controlled substances and technology is a rapidly evolving field that encompasses a wide range of tools and solutions designed to address the challenges of managing and preventing controlled substance abuse. Some of the technology used in this area is electronic prescribing, prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs), mobile health apps, telemedicine, and many more. However, just like any other field, there is always a need to accurately balance the pros and cons of using each of this technology. This session seeks to discuss everyone’s vital roles most especially pharmacy technicians in handling and managing controlled substances in the digital era.
