    • Overview

One of the sections of the larger pharmacies that most pharmacists shy away from is the home health care section. Most pharmacists are comfortable to sell a urinal or sitz bath, but most also have never received the training needed to sell the ambulation devices. With the help of Clinton Bieswenger, an Occupational Therapist from St. Francis University, this course will make us confident in fitting crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs. Since 6 out of 10 major falls occur in the home, this module will discuss home safety tips, especially bathroom safety. A thorough discussion on humidifiers and proper care and whether to even recommend them will wrap up this one-hour course.
