    • Overview

      This course will review all necessary components for continuing education in Florida for HIV. It begins with epidemiology, transmission, infection control, and opportunistic infections. A review of treatment and prevention is then presented, with a focus on the newer treatment agents and recommendations. Finally, a discussion of applicable Florida law to HIV is presented with a focus on testing, confidentiality, treatment, testing of pregnant persons, and partner notifications.

      The course has been approved by the Florida Board of Pharmacy to fulfill the 1.0 HIV/AIDs continuing education requirement necessary for first time license renewal.
