    • Overview

The pathways for pharmacy technician certification and education have always been diverse and poorly defined in many states. As roles for technicians have expanded, renewed attention has been given to the training and educational standards for this group of paraprofessionals. This session seeks to examine the conversations taking place on this front, as well as identifying expanding roles, including vaccine administration, which is being explored as a technician role in certain states. The session further examines the responsibility of the pharmacist in supervisory capacities.
