    • Overview

      This second of three modules will explore Drug Enforcement Administration requirements that must be followed to reduce the risk for diversion of controlled substances. An overview of DEA schedules will be provided to equip the learner to classify controlled substances into the appropriate schedule. DEA registration requirements will be discussed along with methods to validate providers’ DEA numbers. This session will also identify the proper procedures for ordering, inventory, and record keeping as well as procedures for sale of controlled substances and restricted over-the-counter medications.
