    • Overview

In a podcast-style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD, and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The prevalence of GERD is very high and can lead to complications associated with the condition and medications used for treatment. Pharmacists and nurses regularly encounter patients who are managing symptoms with OTC therapies. It is important that pharmacists and nurses understand the appropriate use of the medications and how to counsel patients on the timing of doses and length of therapy. This session seeks to explore these topics, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily medical practice.
