    • Overview

In a podcast style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine injectable medications used to treat type II diabetes and their effect on diabetes management.  Over the last decade, multiple GLP-1 receptor agonists have come to market and have changed many clinicians approach to pharmacotherapy in type II diabetes.  Pharmacists and nurses frequently encounter patients who are using injectables for diabetes management. It is important that pharmacists and nurses understand the appropriate use of these medications and know how to identify patients who could benefit from them.  This session seeks to explore these topics, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily medical practice.
