  Overview

  In a podcast-style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD, and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine the management of acute sinusitis and strep throat. These are very common conditions and are sometimes difficult to differentiate from other upper respiratory conditions. Pharmacists and nurses regularly encounter patients with these conditions who are managing symptoms with OTC therapies. It is important that pharmacists and nurses understand the appropriate time to initiate antibiotic treatment and how to identify those patients. This session seeks to explore these topics, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily medical practice.
