      This session is part of the General Pain Specialty Series, which explores overall pain management considerations, best practices, and pain conditions. This module seeks to summarize the best practices in pain management regarding patient education, treatment selection, and adherence and diversion monitoring. This session will also review appropriate, succinct, and comprehensive patient education on naloxone, along with DEA “Red Flags” for prescribers and dispensers, with an emphasis on how to respectfully proceed when misuse, abuse, or diversion is suspected.
