Overview
The dermatology section of the pharmacy is so massive that we will need two modules to cover all of the products. In this module, we will cover a variety of common ailments.
First, the sunscreens and their application hints and, most importantly for us pharmacists, the prescription drugs that can cause photosensitivity.
We get a lot of questions about head lice and bed bugs and often experience our patient’s frustration in evicting these “critters” from the household. We will also get insight into the resistance issues in the eradication of these pests.
Finally, in the summer, I answer more questions about poison ivy than most other skin conditions, so we will discuss treatment and prevention for this condition as well!
