    • Overview

In a podcast-style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD, and Cole Swanson, PharmD discuss newly FDA-approved medications in 2023 and the first part of 2024. New medications have been approved for many disease states including fatty liver disease, pulmonary hypertension, ulcerative colitis, and more. It is important that pharmacists and nurses be aware of these new medications when they encounter patients taking them. Being familiar with them will help identify drug interactions, side effects, and therapeutic appropriateness. This session seeks to explore these topics, focusing on how this information may change daily medical practice.
