Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) is a major opportunity for pharmacists to help with medication education and counseling, adjustments, and aiding the team to optimize a regimen to avoid hospital re-admissions. The guidelines were recently updated in 2021, which included some changes in recommended therapy. Additionally, new agents were recently approved for both and heart failure with preserved ejection fracture (HFpEF).
