  Overview

  This presentation will discuss what probiotics are, their intended uses, and the benefits of their use. Participants will learn how to differentiate between prebiotics, probiotics, synbiotics, and antibiotics. The presentation will highlight the appropriate use of probiotics, how they should be taken, along with how they should be stored and handled. This presentation will also cover efficacy of probiotics and cases in which certain patient populations should not take probiotics. This program was created specifically for a pharmacy technician audience.
