    • Overview

In a podcast style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine rheumatoid arthritis management. They discuss the treatment options in detail including disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) as well as biologic therapies. New medications used to treat rheumatoid arthritis have come to market in the last year and can be beneficial to certain patients.  Pharmacists and nurses regularly encounter patients with this condition and who take these medications. It is important that pharmacists and nurses understand the appropriate use of these medications and know how to identify side effects associated with them. This session seeks to explore these topics, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily medical practice.
