    • Overview

The problems pharmacists face in today’s workplace seem insurmountable. The advancements of technology promise have failed given how pharmacist workload has increased and staffing has decreased. Higher stress, decreased public trust of healthcare practitioners, and the COVID-19 pandemic have created a workplace environment of hostility rather than care. Now, more than ever, tensions are high without a clear solution in sight. What is this phenomenon? This session will be about the profession’s probable cause: moral injury, or a betrayal of what is right. You will learn about how moral injury occurs, what causes it, how to combat it for yourself and others, as well as solutions for institutions.
