  Overview

  In a podcast style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine treatment and management of different types of anemia.  Some of these include anemia associated with iron deficiency, chronic disease, kidney disease, b12 deficiency, and others.  Pharmacists and nurses regularly encounter patients being treated for anemia. It is important that pharmacists and nurses understand the appropriate use of the relevant medications and know how to explain lab values associated with anemia.  This session seeks to explore these topics, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily medical practice.
