    • Overview

In a podcast style discussion, Mike Corvino, PharmD and Cole Swanson, PharmD examine the management of irritable bowel disease (IBS). The American Gastroenterological Association guidelines were updated in late 2022 and relevant changes will be discussed. Pharmacists and nurses regularly encounter patients with symptoms of IBS. It is important that pharmacists and nurses understand how to triage these symptoms to determine when over-the-counter treatment is not sufficient. This session seeks to explore these topics, focusing on how this information can best be incorporated into daily medical practice.
