Dr. Saswat "Swat" Kabisatpathy is one of the new dynamic leadership executives for RxClinic Pharmacy and the Avant Institute and serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and strategic analyst respectively. Prior to his new role, Dr. Swat served as the Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager for Walmart Health & Wellness and was responsible for the integration of clinical services in 14 Pharmacy locations in Charlotte, NC and the surrounding areas and had 7 years of experience with the Fortune 1 company as he traversed the ranks starting as an intern while as a pharmacy student.
Dr. Swat is a native of South Carolina and completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina Honors College in 2004. He continued on at USC and also earned an MS in Chemistry as well in 2008. After exposure to research and academia in previous opportunities, Dr. Swat was accepted into the Medical University of South Carolina where he completed his Pharm D in 2014.
Dr. Swat has been an active member of the pharmacy community, having served in numerous pharmacy organizations and receiving various awards and recognitions. In 2015, Dr. Swat was named by Pharmacy Times and Next Generation Pharmacists as a finalist for the Future Pharmacist of the Year award. Recently, Dr. Swat was elected to the Executive Board of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Inc., one of the US's oldest pharmacy organizations.
Dr. Swat is an avid advocate for pioneering innovation and creative expansion in the community pharmacy practice setting. He is very excited about the opportunity to impact patient care and to become a transformational leader with the team at RxClinic Pharmacy and the Avant Institute as they become disruptors in the health care sector.
