Lead Pharmacy Technician Instructor, San Jacinto College North
Sara Byars has a bachelor's of science degree in analytical chemistry from Sam Houston State University, where she graduated with honors, and has been in the field of pharmacy in various roles since March of 2007. She currently is the lead faculty and clinical liaison for the pharmacy technician program at San Jacinto College, North Campus, in Houston TX, where she has resided for the past eight years. She prides herself on her skills as an educator and enjoys teaching mathematics and pharmacology. Her greatest joy is seeing the recognition of understanding in a student's eyes and has been known to "move mountains" to make that connection between the subject and learner. She has been married to her college sweetheart for eleven years, and together they have a six-year-old daughter, four dogs, and a rabbit. Sarah and her family live happily in Spring, TX.
