Director of Pharmacy Professional Development and Pharmacy Residency Programs-Anschutz Medical Campus
Jennifer Hamner, PharmD, FASHP, BCPPS, has been the pharmacy residency and pharmacy intern program director since 2007 at Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) Anschutz Medical Campus. At CHCO, she served as the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services until 2013 then transitioned to her current role of Manager of Professional Development. Dr. Hamner completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at The University of Texas at Austin and completed her specialty residency in pediatric pharmacy at CHCO. During her time in a management role, she has revamped the CHCO pharmacy intern program and has grown the program from 1-2 interns to 20+ interns. She also oversees all residency training for the CHCO system. Dr Hamner is active nationally through ASHP, Pediatric Pharmacy Association (PPA), and ACCP. She is currently on the ASHP Commission on Credentialing and was part of the DEI workgroup that created the DEI portion for the new residency standard. She serves regularly as a guest surveyor for ASHP accreditation visits for both PGY1 and PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residencies. Dr. Hamner has presented pearls and programs on precepting and leadership on the national level at the ASHP National Preceptor Conference and Midyear Clinical Meetings. Dr Hamner has been honored to be named a fellow of ASHP and has been the recipient of the Spirit of PPA award for her contributions to pediatric pharmacy.
