Sara Lynn Peterson, PharmD, is a strategic clinical operations pharmacist focusing on innovative solutions and program development. She completed a community PGY-1 residency through the University of Wisconsin concentrating on Medication Therapy Management (MTM) implementation for a large multi-location independent pharmacy and in a cardiovascular outpatient setting. Sara Lynn then focused her work on lipidology in an Advance Lipids Clinic. She has a passion for the intricacies of complex lipid management and preventive cardiology. As the lead clinical pharmacist, she co-developed and co-managed an interdisciplinary cardiovascular prevention clinic based off the C.O.U.R.A.G.E Trial. From there she worked as a Regional Implementation Specialist through a grant with the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin and provided direct, hands-on MTM implementation support to over 80 chain, clinic, and independent pharmacies in 37 Wisconsin counties. Sara Lynn has also spent time working in Indian Health Services. Her most recent work focuses on strategic initiatives to drive productivity and growth of telephonic MTM delivery. When she’s not at work, she can be found enjoying the outdoors (and usually some ice cream) with her husband and three kids.
