Nathan P. Clark, PharmD, FCCP, BCPS, completed his doctor of pharmacy at North Dakota State University and pharmacy practice residency at Merit Care Health System in Fargo, ND. He is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and a fellow in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Since joining the clinical pharmacy team at Kaiser Permanente Colorado in 2003, his major focus has been anticoagulation management and research. Dr. Clark manages the Clinical Pharmacy Anticoagulation and Anemia Service at Kaiser Permanente Colorado which cares for more than 10,000 patients. He also leads anticoagulation quality-improvement efforts for the Kaiser Permanente Program which covers more than 120,000 members nationwide receiving anticoagulants. Dr. Clark has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed research publications or book chapters and has delivered over 35 invited lectures. Research and scholarly activities have been focused on optimizing anticoagulant therapy; including the management of drug interactions, perioperative anticoagulation, and anticoagulation management after bleeding complications. Dr. Clark holds an academic appointment with University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
