    Renato is a Professor of Medicine of the Department of Medicine of the Division of Cardiology at Duke University Medical Center, Duke Clinical Research Institute.

    He has an interest in novel antithrombotic therapies for the management of patients with atrial fibrillation and acute coronary syndromes as well as in the discovery of new biomarkers in the field of Cardiology.

    He has led several national and international clinical trials and registries. He has also participated in clinical events committees (CECs) for many important clinical trials, serving as CEC chair or Principal Investigator for several of these trials.
