    Associate Professor, LIU Pharmacy, Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

    Dr. Brooke Fidler joined the LIU Pharmacy (Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy) faculty in 2000 as Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, and, in 2018, she was promoted to Associate Professor. In 2021, Dr. Fidler was promoted to Director of Co-Curricular Affairs and Patient Simulation. Dr. Fidler completed her PharmD at the University of Rhode Island in 1999, and continued there as a PGY-1 pharmacy resident. Dr. Fidler’s primary didactic responsibilities at the college include teaching in the physical assessment and self-care course as well as the pharmaceutical care labs. As director, Dr. Fidler is responsible for coordinating the co-curricular infrastructure within the College of Pharmacy. Dr. Fidler is also responsible for developing and evaluating the use of patient simulation within the pharmacy curriculum. Dr. Fidler has published in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Journal, Journal of Nurse Practitioners, and Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning. She is a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Journal of Pharmacy Practice and has been an invited speaker at the Association of Standardized Patient Educators annual meetings. Dr. Fidler has presented several posters at the American Association of Colleges Pharmacy annual meetings. She presents webinars and live courses for continuing education programs related to medication therapy management, women’s health issues, and nonprescription medications. Dr. Fidler is the recipient of the 2018 David Newton Awards for Excellence in Teaching and the 2017 Faculty Preceptor of the Year Award.
