Bryan Ziegler, PharmD, MBA is a 2001 graduate from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy and a 2006 graduate from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. After a few years in pharmacy practice, he completed an Executive Residency with the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) from 2005-2006. He has practical experience in hospital, home infusion, chain, and independent community pharmacy settings but his true passion is independent community pharmacy, compounding and entrepreneurship.
He previously served as the Executive Director of the Kennedy Pharmacy Innovation Center (KPIC) and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the South Carolina College of Pharmacy – University of South Carolina Campus until December 2016. In that role, Bryan focused his teaching and research in the areas of pharmacy entrepreneurship and management, compounding, and developing sustainable business models for clinical pharmacy services. In his role at the College, Bryan was involved with expanding the compounding training programs for pharmacy students and practitioners. This included online, live lecture, and hands-on training programs in both non-sterile and sterile compounding for non-hazardous and hazardous preparations. In addition to teaching, Bryan has also served on the Compounding Committee for the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy since 2014.
Today, Bryan is co-owner of Moss Compounding Pharmacy in Florence, SC while also maintaining an adjunct clinical associate professor position with the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. Bryan is “living the dream” as he operates a compounding pharmacy located in an innovative practice site which also includes a traditional retail pharmacy and primary care clinic.
