After discovering she had a passion and excitement for chemistry, Ann started her journey in her teens eager to learn what pharmacists did with all that information. Since that time, she’s explored different applications of that information in retail, hospital, home infusion, and hospice settings. Over more than twenty years, her progression through positions in those various settings as technician, pharmacy intern, and finally pharmacist have given her a unique perspective.
Ann Klemz, PharmD, BCPS is a hospital pharmacist from Minnesota who graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2012. Exploring her professional prowess, she’s striven for excellence pursuing a BCPS, an Informatics certification, and publishing a book. She’s always curious to talk about personal and professional development, but only if you’ve got time for an in-depth chat. Through all available outlets, Ann strives to share her vision of empowered healthcare professionals, ready to steer their career trajectory, and to inspire them to explore professional development for themselves.
When she’s not at work, she can be found drinking coffee or cross-stitching. At the end of the day, though, she’s happiest raising her three children with her husband Tim. And snuggling a cat.
