Lisa Hanlon graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy and completed an ASHP Executive Residency/Fellowship in Association Management. She has completed the ASHP/ISMP Medication Safety Certificate Program and is currently enrolled in a Masters in Education program at The Pennsylvania State University.
Lisa has been practicing pharmacy at Penn State Health, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA primarily in Medication Safety and Regulatory Compliance since 1995.
Additionally, Ms. Hanlon worked with ASHP Advantage as an onsite manager for continuing education programs, co-facilitated the ASHP National Clinical Skills Competition, and managed the NPSF Initiative for Pharmaceutical Safe Use.
Lisa has completed several intensive training programs in Heart Rhythm Meditation from the Institute for Applied Meditation on the Heart (iamHeart) in Tucson, AZ and is a Certified Heart Rhythm Meditation Instructor and Mentor. Lisa is frequently invited to provide meditation classes for stress resilience and well-being throughout the hospital and the local community.
Lisa’s interest in meditation is beyond personal. Believing that individual stress-resilience is critical to both personal and professional well-being – she incorporates teaching basic mindfulness and Heart Rhythm Meditation practices for stress reduction and to improve focus, attention, interpersonal communication for medication safety to pharmacists and other clinicians.
